Father Burke Masters, Former Mississippi State Athlete, Now Chaplain to the Chicago Cubs

In our new book, Worthwhile Struggle, our author Patrick McCaskey revisits Father Burke Masters, who received Sports Faith International’s Father Smyth Award and was on the cover of our second Sports and Faith book called Sports and Faith: More Stories of the Devoted and the Devout. Father Burke was an excellent player for Mississippi State University. In the Joliet Diocese, Father Masters has been involved in a number of different faith based programs including vocations. Father Masters has also been involved a number of different faith based programs in the Diocese of Joliet especially vocations initiatives. He is well traveled and a popular speaker.
