The Circumcision of John the Baptist

Luke 1:57-66, 80

An angel had told Zechariah that

His son should be named John (the Baptist.)

John was born at home which was not in Rome.

Then Zechariah wrote, “His name is John.”

The speech of Zechariah was restored.

His tongue was loosed; he believed in Our Lord.

John was the Precursor of Jesus Christ.

All of the prophecies became fulfilled.

In the year forty-nine, the Apostles

Replaced circumcision with Baptism.

My wife is Protestant; she married me.

I don’t have the gift of celibacy.

Our sons were baptized and dedicated.

One is Protestant; two are Catholic.
