The Mother of the Sons of Zebedee
Jesus predicted His passion and death.
He would be degraded and crucified.
He prepared the Apostles for their deaths.
They would share in Jesus’ resurrection.
The mother of the sons of Zebedee
Wanted one son to sit at His right hand
And the other to sit at His left hand.
This did not sit well with all the others.
Jesus Christ did not impose His power.
The most humble became the first of all.
Saint Peter called priests to shepherd the flock.
Saint Paul was a servant to everyone.
King Herod decapitated Saint James.
Saint John died on the island of Patmos.
