After the Mountain Transfiguration

Matthew 17:9a, 10-13

After the Transfiguration, Jesus,

Peter, James, and John came down the mountain.

Jesus told them not to tell anyone

About what had happened on the mountain.

They asked Jesus Christ about Elijah.

Jesus said Elijah came and restored

All things.  The scribes did not know Elijah.

They did whatever they wanted to do

To him.  They would also make Christ suffer.

Christ said Elijah was John the Baptist.

Mass is a mountain top experience.

Refreshed with the Eucharist, we can go

And live the Gospel.  With the homily

In mind, we can always be kind.  Amen.
