Beware of a Dance; Saint John Had No Chance

Matthew 14:1-12

John the Baptist and Jesus were quite close.

John’s death prefigured the death of Jesus.

We have hope in Christ; John’s death is a win.

John was a just man.  Heaven is the plan.

A terrible oath was sworn and fulfilled.

A prophet’s head was not a just reward.

John’s death was a Heavenly victory.

Saint John began his eternal journey.

Those who live as Christians get to Heaven.

What a great reward after death by sword.

Robert Lamm wrote a song called “Beginnings.”

It’s in the “The Very Best of Chicago.”

The day after my high school prom, I ran

The very best mile of my life, so far.
