Christ Called Matthew to Be a Disciple

Mark 2:13-17

After Jesus had taught all of a crowd,

He saw Levi.  Jesus said, “Follow me.”

Levi left the tax office and followed.

Christ, Levi, and others had a banquet.

A shared meal showed friendship and great respect.

This was a meal with tax men and sinners.

All who repent can obtain Salvation.

Jesus Christ did not exclude anyone.

All of us can change and become better.

That’s why Saint Paul sent many a letter.

God’s mercy can obtain us forgiveness.

Then we can pray for those bent on sinning.

Christ said eternal life was a banquet.

Let banquets be a preview of heaven.
