Christ Explained: Four Witnesses Vouched for Him

John 5:31-47

Jesus did not testify for His cause.

He had four witnesses to vouch for Him:

John the Baptist, the works that Jesus did,

God the Father, and the Holy Scriptures.

Jesus invited people to study

Scripture.  They would find an explanation

For what He said and did.  The prophets had

Proclaimed that Jesus would come and save us.

Christ pointed out three things that prevented

People from seeing Him as Messiah.

They did not love God; they desired glory;

And their Scripture reading was prejudiced.

Better attitudes help us discover

Christ.  Humility leads to good vision.
