Christ Gave Instructions to the Apostles

Matthew 10:16-23

Christ told the Apostles to bear witness.

They would be persecuted and betrayed.

The Holy Spirit would come to their aid.

They would have the great gift of martyrdom.

Apostles should not be disconcerted.

Their witnessing would all be for the best.

When they get to Heaven, they could all rest.

They would have proven their love of Jesus.

The Packers have thirteen championships.

The Bears have nine.  This is disconcerting.

We are hopeful that the world will not end,

‘til the Bears have the most championships.

For a Martyr Contest, Mary said, “I

didn’t even know there was a contest.”
