Conditions for Following Jesus Christ
Jesus was much more than a great teacher.
He was the ultimate, greatest preacher.
Put Jesus Christ first or expect the worst.
God elected Jacob; he chose Rachel.
Take God’s side. In compromise, do not hide.
Love God before relatives and strangers.
The builder should be able to finish.
The king should win or negotiate peace.
Saint Gregory the Great was never late.
Since he was on time, we can be sublime.
He taught us to use the things of this world
But desire to take the heavenly things.
My father used to say, “When I am the
Lector, there’s usually a big crowd.”
