Followers of Jesus Get to Heaven

Mark 10:28-31

Peter said to Jesus, “Lo, we have left

Everything and followed you.”  Jesus said

In effect, “You are going to get a

Great rebate.  You get to go to Heaven.”

Jesus said they would be persecuted.

When offered for Christ, they would receive joy.

When we hear God call us to holiness,

Let us answer with alacrity, yes.

The Saint Mary’s cheerleaders sang, “One, two,

Three, four, five, six, seven, all good players

Go to Heaven.  When they get there they re-

peat, Saint Mary’s, Saint Mary’s can’t be beat.”

Dionne Warwick sang, “You’ll Never Get

To Heaven If You Break My Heart.”  Amen.
