From a Den of Thieves to a House of Prayer

John 2:13-22

When Jesus saw animals and money-
changers in the temple area, He
was upset. So He cleared them out of there.
Once again the area had clean air.

Jesus could raise the temple in three days.
He was told that it took forty-six years.
Jesus said His body was a temple.
The Disciples understood later on.

This passage is sometimes wrongly used to
Justify a loss of temper. Here is
One of my father’s impersonations
Of me. “What do you mean I have a bad
Temper? I haven’t hit anyone since
Nineteen seventy-five.” I rest his case.
