Indissolubility of Marriage

Mark 10:2-16

From the beginning, we’re male and female.

A lineup like that does not become stale.

Saint John Paul II said married couples are

Called to “total mutual self-giving.”

From the lectors’ workbook, we know that “life-

long monogamous marriage is the ideal.”

Here’s a slight “Young Frankenstein” rewrite, “Fi-

delity, no escaping that for me.”

From the Navarre Bible commentary,

We know that “the Kingdom of heaven be-

longs to those who receive it like a child.”

We don’t merit it.  We accept God’s gift.

Let’s believe like children, love like children,

Abandon like children, pray like children.
