Jesus Christ Wept Over Jerusalem

Luke 19:41-44

The Navarre Bible notes are instructive.

“When the procession reaches a place that

Looks out on a good view of the city,”

The disciples were surprised when Jesus wept.

Christ worked many signs in Jerusalem.

The Covenant would be sealed on the cross.

Jesus visits each of us.  He teaches

Us through the preaching of the Holy Church.

“He grants us forgiveness and grace through the

Sacraments.  If we are faithful and at-

tentive to his word, we can ensure that

Our Lord has not come in vain.”  So be it.

After a Bears’ loss, I confess my sins.

Then I can receive Holy Communion.
