Jesus Cured a Man Who Was Deaf and Dumb
The Navarre Bible notes are instructive.
Jesus worked a miracle to show “the
Saving power of His human nature.”
Christ opens our ears to hear His Father.
We get salvation through the sacraments.
According to Mark, Jesus told people
To be silent about three miracles:
The curing of a man with leprosy,
The raising of a little girl from death,
And the curing of a deaf and dumb man.
“Jesus wanted people to come to His
Mission…in light of His death on the cross.”
The people were like Edith Bunker. They
Could not stifle themselves or dummy up.
