Jesus Is the Vine; We Are the Branches

John 15:1-8

The night before Jesus died, He spoke well.

He is the vine; His Father grows the vine.

We receive tribulations and temptations.

They make us stronger; we serve God longer.

My earthly father once said to me, “It’s

Up to you, but you’re doing it all wrong.”

Accountability, encouragement

Help us get pruned of our ungodliness.

When we are with Jesus Christ, we sin less,

We do holy works, and we help others.

Mass and the sacraments, Bible study,

And daily devotions keep us attuned.

The Holy Trinity helps us stay pruned.

When Christ is our vine, we are mighty fine.
