Jesus Preached in His Hometown, Nazareth

Luke 4:14-22

When Christ was in Galilee synagogues,

All of His listeners glorified Him.

Then He went to teach in Nazareth, His

Hometown.  The people there were a tough crowd.

First, He read from the Book of Isaiah.

Then He sat down and talked to His people.

They remembered Him as son of Joseph.

They did not see Him as the Messiah.

Jesus had been home schooled.  He had daily

Recess, a perfect attendance record,

And no detentions.  He was a perfect

Student.  He was valedictorian.

The people of Nazareth were narrow-

minded.  They did not accept Jesus Christ.
