Jesus the Son Prayed to God the Father

John 17:1-11

Christ prayed a prayer that no one else could pray.

He asked His Father to glorify His

Holy human nature and to accept

His sacrifice on the cross for Heaven.

Christ was obedient to His Father.

Jesus obeyed the redemption mandate.

His death made His Father known to us all.

We get to go to Heaven thanks to Christ.

Christ’s divinity saved humanity.

His humanity gave us dignity.

In Heaven, knowledge of God will be full.

We can trust Saint Augustine to be right.

Jesus prayed for us and He died for us.

That is quite a lot more than we deserve.
