Jesus Wants Us to Avoid Scandal
Mark 9:41-50
Jesus said accept water in my name.
Do not cause little ones to be ashamed.
If one of your hands causes you to sin,
You should cut it off and be more thin.
Just avoiding sin is not quite enough.
The occasions of sin are not good stuff.
More earthly goods are not our destiny.
Let’s have souls ready for eternity.
From the Navarre Bible commentary,
We know that Isaiah 66:24
Is Mark 9:48, “where their worm does not
Die, and the fire is not quenched,” that is hell.
“Anything that might lead us to commit
Sin must be cut short…” Enjoy your dinner.
