John the Baptist Leads Us to Jesus Christ

John 1:6-8, 19-28

God sent John to give us testimony.

John’s testimony was not a phony.

The Baptist did not say he was the one.

He told us about Christ Who was God’s Son.

The questions for John were very many.

None of them were worth even a penny.

John was patient and did not obfuscate.

He was very clear, unlike Watergate.

John was not Christ, Elijah, or prophet.

He did not sell equipment for Moffett.

Isaiah had told us John would be here.

Repent for our sins and be of good cheer.

John was not worthy to untie sandals.

And yet he was not involved in scandals.
