Martha and Mary Welcomed Jesus Christ

Luke 10:38-42

Martha was quite busy with household chores.

Mary listened intently to Jesus.

Martha had many things to attend to.

Mary concentrated on Jesus Christ.

Martha symbolizes activity.

Mary symbolizes contemplation.

Both vocations are very important.

We have to pray and be responsible.

We contemplate the supernatural.

We love our neighbors because we love God.

All these things are a preview of Heaven.

All of our actions converge on Jesus.

While I played with a baby granddaughter,

Her other grandfather did the dishes.
