Mary Went to Visit Elizabeth
Luke 1:39-45
Abraham was the father of nations
Because he believed what God had told him.
Mary became the mother of God be-
cause she accepted the challenge on faith.
God gave Mary intense preparation.
The angel gave Mary revelation.
Mary traveled far for visitation.
Her Son became all our incarnation.
Mary’s cousin Elizabeth was pregnant.
Elizabeth’s son, John, leapt in her womb.
What Elizabeth said became a prayer.
We have “The Hail Mary” because of her.
From Saint Ambrose, we know, “both women be-
gan to prophesy, inspired by their sons.”
