No Figs and a House of Prayer for Jesus

Mark 11:11-26

Christ was hungry for a fig; there were none.

So, Jesus Christ cursed the barren fig tree.

The Disciples heard it and could not help.

Fig Newtons had not been invented yet.

Jesus Christ cleansed the temple of robbers.

The thieves left.  It became a place of prayer.

Purification for every nation,

Pray with the right inner disposition.

Do not approach God in prayer with rancour.

Pray with charity in a faith spirit.

Jesus knows our needs, even fig tree seeds.

If it bleeds, it leads, does not apply here.

Saint Teresa of Avila said to

Pray to God since He will not fail to give.
