The Chair of Saint Peter the Apostle
Right after Peter had confessed his faith,
Jesus gave him the keys to the Kingdom.
Pete was promised his future primacy.
He said Christ was Messiah and God’s Son.
We can make this profession too, through faith.
God gave Peter and us the gift of faith.
Christ made Peter the leader of the Church.
Peter was the Apostles’ quarterback.
Saints have seen Popes as Peter’s successors.
Bears have also seen this Papal vision.
Peter has the Kingdom keys; we have fobs.
Those of us in Legatus have great jobs.
Legatus is Latin: ambassador.
We drive in the far right lane for Jesus.
