The Curing of a Royal Official’s Son

John 4:43-54

A royal official traveled twenty

Miles from Capernaum to Cana to ask

Jesus to cure his son who was near death.

The official was humbly persistent.

The official wanted Jesus to go

To Capernaum.  Jesus cured long distance.

Miracles call us to faith and belief.

They show God’s mercy and mighty power.

When I was a high school junior, I rode

My bike twenty-five miles from Des Plaines to

Wheaton to see someone.  She wasn’t home.

My hair was brown, curly, and thick.  Now my

Hair is white, straight, and thin.  God is protec-

ting my marriage.  I was too good looking.
