The Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes
From the “Workbook for Lectors,” we know that
A large crowd had seen Jesus help the sick.
He climbed a mountain with His disciples.
The crowd followed them with a great hunger.
Jesus asked Philip “how can we feed them?”
Philip did the accounting in despair.
Andrew told Christ about a boy with food.
Jesus had five thousand sit on the grass.
Christ multiplied five loaves and two fishes.
They had an excellent sufficiency.
Let this Gospel be a reminder. God
Performs miracles for people of faith.
When I was a child, the bread order for
My family was sixteen loaves a week.
