The Salt of the Earth; The Light of the World
Matthew 5:13-16
After Christ had taught the Beatitudes,
He told the Apostles how to live them.
They were the salt of the earth, divine flavor.
They helped preserve the world from corruption.
Jesus said the Apostles were the light
Of the world for those who were in the dark.
They drew people to God by doing good
Works in a supernatural spirit.
The Sports Faith International Banquet
Is on Pentecost Vigil. We honor
High school, college, and pro athletes, coaches,
And teams for leading exemplary lives.
It’s easier to be the light of the
World now because of Thomas Edison.
