The Seed and the Mustard Seed Parables
Mark 4:26-34
From the Navarre Bible commentary,
We know that “The parables of the seed
And the mustard seed…are based on the
Idea of growth; that of the seed speaks of
The Kingdom’s…gradual development;
That of the mustard seed…” tremendous growth.
I had to plant corn. The garden in the
North side yard was eighty feet by six feet.
It had to be roto tilled, horse manured,
Roto-tilled again, and then raked smoothly.
Two eighty-foot rows two feet apart down
The length or thirty-nine rows two feet a-
Part across the width? I decided to go
With two eighty-foot rows down the length.
