The Shepherds Found the Holy Family

Luke 2:16-21

The shepherds were nearby Israelites.

They went in haste to nearby Bethlehem.

They opened their hearts and received great joy.

Let us be grateful to the Apostles.

They replaced circumcision with Baptism.

Long before we are in an earthly tomb,

Now we can name babies in the womb.

When we are tempted to complain about

Accommodations, let us remember

A stable was good enough for Jesus.

If we ever have one more flight delay,

We can still thank God for the Wright brothers.

If the Bears ever lose another game,

We can still be grateful for our mothers.
