The Sons of Zebedee Make a Request

Mark 10:35-45

James and John were the sons of Zebedee.

They were well known as the sons of thunder.

They would have been like Payton and Suhey.

Christ asked, “Are you able to drink the cup?”

They wanted to be at the right and left

Of Jesus.  Instead, Jesus had two thieves.

The Passion of Jesus was baptism.

His sufferings purified the whole world.

Christ said, “I am here to serve not be served.”

Let us go out therefore and do likewise.

Let us see who can be the most humble.

Let us not be proud of humility.

When I started working for the Bears, I

Was everyone’s assistant.  I still am.
