The Transfiguration of Jesus Christ

Luke 9:28b-36

After Peter confessed his faith in Christ,

Jesus took Peter, John, and James to pray

On the top of a mountain.  Then Jesus

Was transfigured into quite dazzling white.

Peter’s confession of faith was confirmed.

Jesus revealed that the way of the cross

Would lead to his entry into glory.

The Navarre Bible notes on this passage

Lead to Catechism 555 and

Saint Thomas Aquinas.  “The whole Trinity

Appeared: The Father in a voice; the Son

In the man; (the) Spirit in the shining cloud.”

“Christ’s Passion is the will of the Father.”

Jesus Christ died and rose as God’s Servant.
