Upon Request, Jesus Taught the Lord’s Prayer

Matthew 6:7-15

Jesus said to pray with sincerity.

To build up the body of the one Church.

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus taught that there are

Seven petitions and seven blessings.

One, the name of God should be sanctified.

Two, the kingdom of God is on the way.

Three, God’s love kingdom will fulfill His will.

Four, daily bread provides bodily strength.

Five, forgiveness of debts and offences

Leads to Six, protection from temptation

And Seven, deliverance from evil.

The Lord’s Prayer summarizes the Gospel.

At a retreat, Fathers Mike Sparough and

Mike Rossman gave eight talks on the Lord’s Prayer.
