Zechariah Was No Longer Speechless
Luke 1:67-79
After Zechariah had regained his
Speech, he prophesied in a canticle.
He proclaimed Israel’s deliverance.
The Holy Spirit inspired eloquence.
In an unmetrical hymn, he chanted
About the arrival of the Lord Himself.
John personified the Old Testament
And he heralded the New Testament.
John was the precursor of Jesus Christ.
Zechariah’s canticle described God.
Jesus was to be the Lord and Savior.
He fulfilled all of the old prophecies.
Zechariah’s chant was more than a rant.
He helped us remember God’s covenant.
